GREETINGS TO ALL, THIS IS A SECOND NOTICE TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS SUMMER'S CLASSES AT 1/2 PRICE..!!      We want you all to know that the Squadron is having a special deal for everyone to take one class at 1/2 price, there will be more classes taught this summer than normal,  but, they will be offered first-come-first served and will be capped at a reasonable number, no class will be taught if there are less than 5 students.     The classes offered will be....SEAMANSHIP, PILOTING, ELECTRONICS, ENGINE MAINTENANCE, WEATHER, CRUISE PLANNING AND SAIL.  You can contact me, Bob Cravens about Seamanship and Piloting....360-694-0434 or crave555@aol.com  

Washington State Boater Education Card requirement will be phased in from 2008 to 2014. The cards are now being issued. All operators of boats having motors of 15 horsepower or greater are required to have their Boater Safety Education Card, click on the card to see when this the law will apply to you or your family members. You can also download an application there.

This years Change of Watch Dinner will be on Friday, March 12, 2010. The Event will take place at the Parker House (Next to the Port of Camas and the Dolphin Yacht Club).  Social Hour will be at 6pm with Dinner being served at 7pm.  This year's cost is $33 per person which includes dinner, desert and coffee or tea.  Click here to see your dinner choices and/or to RSVP.  or you can contact Rick Gilbertson.

National is now ready to issue BOC kits for “Inland Water(IW) ” certification. These kits will provide the Passport to be filled in by a BOC Certifier and an on-the-water boat handling skill demonstration for the “IW” BOC card.  National is charging $30.00 for each BOC kit, plus $2.00 for shipping and handling for a total of $32.00 for each kit.

Our SEO George Eaton is ready to place an order for those members who are interested in obtaining a BOC certification. Please let him know Nov 4th if you would like to start the BOC process and would like him to order a IW kit for you.

USPS Seminars - Basic Chart Reading, Using a GPS, VHF-DSC Marine Radios and On Board Weather Forecasting Seminars are available for your group. Lady Skippers Luncheon -Lady Skippers meet the second Thursday of the month.  There are no meetings in July, August, September and January. Check the squadron calendar for the location of our next meeting.

General Meetings- Are normally held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm. There are no meetings in June, July or August. Check our squadron calendar for the date and details of the next meeting.
